Our classic Italian speed boat stopped along the way between Positano and Amalfi for a quick swim into a sea cave. The boat dropped us at the pier in Amalfi and we walked up through the food draped streets to our hotel. It was clear straight away that food was a big part of life in Amalfi and our meals did not disappoint.

Breakfast each day was of course beautiful summer fruits. Pizza was difinalty a highlight. I enjoyed this wood fired oven Margarita and salad pizza after our hot and sweaty walk to Atrani.

We were lucky to be able to share our trip with friends Holly and Kevin. Our dinner on the last night was an absolute highlight. My dinner, a Lemon Spaghetti, making the most of the regions most famous produce.

I couldn’t resist taking home some samples of the local produce. Watch this space for recipes including these dried chillies, oregano, basil and capers.
