Devil Pasta… yes please.
The great thing about Italian food is the vegetables! I love pesto, sun ripened tomatoes, basil and not forgetting mozzarella. There is something very special about the Mediterranean’s combination of fresh ingredients. These are flavors I never get sick of and I was so lucky to be treated to a relaxed late lunch at Italian cafe, Ruby Duck, this weekend.
The cozy café is one of the newest and coolest places to eat in Dublin’s Temple Bar. It boasts a wonderful Italian and Mediterranean inspired breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, full of fresh and full flavoured favorites. Their “Devil” dish of courgettes, chili and fresh eggs pasta is a huge hit in the establishment amongst it’s cliental and staff. The very generous cheese boards are also hugely in demand and are a great option to share with friends.
My friends and I filled up on one of Ruby Duck’s signature cheese boards, bruschetta and caprese salad followed by devil and pesto pasta.
The wine list is another highlight at Ruby Duck. Chef and owner Linda takes regular wine scouting adventures to northern Italy to bring back the best of what the region has to offer. Keep an eye out for wine tasting evenings in the café in the New Year.
