Peanut butter is often unfairly demonised. It is true… there is a serious amount of crap (oil, sugar, salt, preservatives, etc) in many household brands, it does have a high fat content and obviously is not suitable for those with a peanut allergy.
But on the upside… when the one ingredient is simply peanuts you have a very tasty, convenient, versatile, nutritious and cost effective snack on your hands. Peanuts provide a great source of protein, antioxidants and many minerals. Enjoy simply on toast or in sandwiches or as a spread for apple slices or even with tomatoes (as I discovered recently is delicious).
